THE FBI has issued an arrest warrant for a former minister and
radio evangelist after seizing child pornography, weapons and other
items from his home, records show.
Troy Cecil Snowden, 59,
was indicted last week by a federal grand jury on charges of
possessing child pornography, wire fraud, transporting a child for
illegal purposes and possession of a shotgun.
The warrant was issued on Wednesday. Snowden's last known address
was a home in Cape Coral in south-west Florida, but neighbours said
no-one had been there for at least a month. Snowden ran a ministry
from the house in 1997 and 1998, state records show.
Snowden, once a popular radio evangelist in Little Rock,
Arkansas, served five years in prison and probation in the 1990s for
soliciting and accepting donations for a Christian youth camp that
did not exist and causing a minor to travel from another state to
have sex with him, the indictment said.
